Meet Sierra Finance's Staff
Edward Escudero, CPAPresident and CEO Native El Pasoan and Certified Public Accountant, Edward Escudero, is a veteran finance professional contributing 16 years of expertise and experience to Sierra Finance. As the former Secretary and CFO of Petro Stopping Centers, L.P., Ed held the vital role of managing various departments such as Accounting, Audit, Financial Planning, Risk Management and Information Systems, among others. Ed is also the Vice-President and CFO of C&R Distributing, a major distributor of fuel and owner of various convenience stores in the El Paso area. In his earlier career Ed held various financial positions, including Controller, with Yazaki North America. Ed is community minded and serves on several boards including Texas State Securities Board, Medical Center of the Americas Foundation, YWCA Foundation of El Paso (Trustee), El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and University of Texas at El Paso (Internal Audit Committee). Ed is also a member of several associations, including the American institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the El Paso Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso. Carlos Tovar Chief Operating Officer A former Accounting Manager at Petro Stopping Centers, L.P, Carlos was responsible for Fuel Accounting, Merchandise, and Internal Audit. Prior to his tenure with Petro Stopping Centers, he was at Security Capital in charge of SEC Reporting and other Accounting functions. Carlos contributes 13 years of Accounting and Audit experience to Sierra Finance. As an Operations Officer, Carlos oversees all Collections and Client Services areas that support all of Sierra's client needs. |
